Except the babies - their noises are awful!
Cheers
DenisDenis Wilsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10031115992910569116noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19288377.post-30595584007082303232009-11-23T06:58:18.491+11:002009-11-23T06:58:18.491+11:00G'day Denis,

We often get a half dozen or so stripping many of the trees on the golf course, and DF and I have seen them in their hundreds in the pine forests of South Gippsland. Wonderful characters.
Gouldiae.Gouldiaehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04534425400820381646noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19288377.post-81229696234639280762009-11-22T17:13:07.573+11:002009-11-22T17:13:07.573+11:00Hi Mosura.

As you say though, they are always either just out of range of the camera or if they are flying overhead I'm too slow to get the camera focused on them.Mosurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14786494432479216149noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19288377.post-33330186746981362742009-11-22T10:17:32.542+11:002009-11-22T10:17:32.542+11:00Hi Joe and Mick.

I was stopped beside the road, but it was keeping a sharp eye on me, as you can see. Then it flew, and they all flew together.
When they fly, they flap slowly, but they are so large and powerful, they just disappear out of range with 3 slow flaps of those huge wings.
Cheers
DenisDenis Wilsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10031115992910569116noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19288377.post-56231169838217112862009-11-22T08:45:48.092+11:002009-11-22T08:45:48.092+11:00FabulousFabulousJoehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12345154460382394758noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19288377.post-33534633916336223652009-11-22T08:45:18.713+11:002009-11-22T08:45:18.713+11:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Joehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12345154460382394758noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19288377.post-6786599899610118132009-11-22T05:15:19.535+11:002009-11-22T05:15:19.535+11:00Very nice photos of the Black Cockie. That's one bird that I still haven't been able to get close to up here and yet when I lived down in NSW they seemed to be much less afraid - or else we had more trees that they wanted to eat from :-)mickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08230845410313320080noreply@blogger.com
