For May Day (tomorrow).
Paul Robeson's spectacularly good voice singing this nostalgic song about Joe Hill.
It is an immortal voice (of a dead singer), singing about a dead worker (who never dies).
Turn up the volume.
The sound has been vastly improved ("cleaned") since I first heard this song.

Have tweeted this to the world, Denis. I love this song and the singer.
Thanks
Denis
I haven't heard Paul Robeson before, he does have a wonderful voice but I think I still prefer the Joan Baez version which is hauntingly beautiful and always sends shivers up my spine.
I always regarded this as the "Standard" version, but Joan Baez's version was very good and brought a whole new audience to love this song (including you, obviously).
That's fine.
Thanks for the comment, Barbara.
