I left Robertson on Friday morning, as the rain was just easing. I heard on the radio later that day, that the Illawarra had had "wild storms", but apparently Robertson was spared the worst of that. It did rain more on Friday, and somewhat less on Saturday.
The Bureau reported a further 36mm on Friday (technically - rainfall to Saturday at 9:00am) and 14mm on Saturday. Starting from the previous report of 267mm over 5 days, this takes us to 327mm in the last week. That is equivalent to 12.87 inches of rain. I think that will do us for the moment, thanks.
After a weekend spent in the muggy confines of the Lower Hunter Valley, near Maitland, where it was not raining, we drove back down the Putty Road to Windsor, and it was interesting to see the Colo River in flood after some 55mm of rain there. It must have all fallen in a short period of time to produce that much run-off.
At least Robertson's rain has been steady, not torrential.
