A peaceful field, or a Small Murder of Little Ravens?

How observant are you?
There are hundreds of birds in this photo.
All heads-down eating away.
These birds were down on Kirkland Road, East Kangaloon.

Look closely at this field.
Hundreds of Little Ravens all head-down,
eating vast numbers of Insects.
We have a Collective Noun
"A Murder of Crows"
What is the correct term for Little Ravens?

Now you can see them, as they start to fly away
Here is a link to a
group of Little Ravens Corvus mellori
calling as they fly away.
Courtesy Graeme Chapman.

Some of them decided I posed less threat
than warranted them missing out on their "grub"
so they settled down again,
and promptly "disappeared" again.

Unfortunately my Comments function has been disabled, but my Blogging colleague Martin Butterfield, being aware of my problem, offered the formal collective noun for Ravens being an "Unkindness", and then, given the diminutive name of this species, suggested a "Disfavour" of Little Ravens.
I think that is very elegant.

I would suggest a Rummage of Little Ravens ... because that appears to be what they are good at - rummaging!

Yes, that seems appropriate, Brigid.
