Last night we had a routine Save Water Alliance Committee meeting, at Kim and Peter's place, but it turned into a bit of a celebration (understandably). Of course that is a reference to the Nature Conservation Council Award which we had received the night before. Unfortunately, David and Dorothy were not able to be present. From left, we see Olivia, Kim, myself, Mim and Bernie. Peter took the image.
Anyway, we have got plans in place to press on with our campaign, of course. We are hoping to spread the word amongst the people of the area around Old South Road and Diamond Fields Road, north-east of Mittagong. We believe that these people have not been involved (at all, or not very much) in the Community Consultation process which the SCA has conducted quite extensively, in Kangaloon. Part of the problem is that many people who have properties in these areas are not full-time residents there.
We have also scheduled an Annual General Meeting for the SWA. This will be held on Wednesday 18 June 2008, at 42 Price Street, Bowral, at 6:30pm.
The meeting dissolved in laughter, almost tears, while Mim told us a story which seemed funny (at the time) - even, though, in the light of day, it was no doubt perfectly sensible. That does not matter now. We are over our mirth. But it did provide an opportunity for some funny photos. From left, Bernie, Mim, Olivia (in stitches, poor dear), Peter, Kim and myself.
